This isn’t our first conversation like yours
Ray of Sunshine has been doing this for nearly 30 years, and more than 950 families have been part of that history. Before that, I was the family member trying to figure it out, caring for multiple family members at the same time.
What I know from that experience, and from working with 950+ families since, is this: the load builds gradually. Each step feels manageable until one day it isn’t.
Ray of Sunshine is a licensed caregiver registry. Your caregiver will have prior in-home care experience, and we handle the compliance, documentation, and coordination behind the scenes so you’re not trying to figure all of this out on your own.

We’re a caregiver registry, not a traditional agency. That means your caregiver is chosen by you and they aren’t reassigned to another client because for us it’s convenient. You’re able to build a consistent, stable relationship with the person coming into your home.

If you have a long-term care policy, it’s worth understanding how to use it.
Most families treat LTC insurance like something to save for later. In reality, you’re paying for it whether you use it or not.
The paperwork is the wall most families don’t get past: the documentation requirements, the ongoing submissions, the back-and-forth with insurers. We handle that.
Our system generates and submits compliant documentation weekly, which helps reduce delays, denials, and repeated requests from insurers and removes a significant amount of work from your plate.

Most senior care is centrally managed. Caregivers are assigned, schedules are adjusted behind the scenes, and changes can happen without much input from the family.
We’re structured differently. Families stay directly involved in who is providing care and how that care is scheduled. Caregivers choose the opportunities that make sense for them.
